It takes about 10 minutes by ferry to Gogoshima Island from Takahama port.

Take the Iyotetsu Takahama Line from Matsuyama City Station to Takahama Station (21 minutes). Takahama port is right in front of Takahama Station. You can get to Gogoshima Island by ferry in about ten minutes. There are two ferries to Gogoshima Island that go to Tomari and Yura port. In this case, go to Tomari port. This route starts from Tomari port.

10 minutes (On Foot)

　Experience the whole of Setouchi at the Tamura family home -- spring, summer and autumn(agriculture and fishing industry experience)

Try island food such as bamboo shoots, peaches, biwa and so on harvested by the Tamura family.

Tamura-san runs a farm by the sea at Tomari on Gogoshima Island. Here you can experience the natural environment of Gogoshima in each season. There are programs for different requirements including harvesting on the farm, gathering shellfish, swimming in the sea, and so on. You can do just the farming program or the island food program if you wish. This program takes 3 to 4 hours and the price depends on the content. Please ask about pricing.

Things to see

The standard course is to drive to the various viewpoints around the island with Tamura-san, passing through orange groves, looking at the sea, talking to farmers along the way and encountering the daily life of the island. The homemade island food is made with the excellent local ingredients from the sea and the mountains, and you can prepare it together too.

　Gogoshima Island circuit Enjoy the view from the sea

Enjoy the feeling of the waves up close and the coastal scenery. Take a cruise around the island from Aikogahama beach.

Besides swimming in the sea, you can enjoy marine sports at Aikogahama beach in Tomari on Gogoshima Island. Ride a jet boat and enjoy the exhilarating speed and the picturesque scenery of Gogoshima Island with its intricate coastline and mountains from the sea.

Things to see

The jet boat flies above the waves at three times the speed of normal motorboats for an awesome dynamic ride. Safe for children and adults, the ride lasts about 40 minutes.

Ocean views at sunset from Lover’s Pass

If you take a gentle stroll along the farm track behind Aikogahama beach, you come to a hill with perfect views. The yellow gazania flowers are heartwarming, and you can see Matsuyama City spread out across the sea. It’s an ideal place to take a photo.

Things to see

It’s a must-see spot for visitors to Gogoshima Island, and it’s often featured on TV. There are various spots with views dotted around the steep slopes of Gogoshima, and its easy access is one of the reasons for its popularity. As you might expect, you can sometimes see couples on Lover’s Pass. Why not take away warm memories of time spent here with a special person?
